Three Time Emmy Awarding Winning Designer Birgit Muller has dressed many Hollywood celebrities.

Born in Vienna and raised in Spain, Birgit came to the U.S. in 1992 after completing her journalism, publicity and promotion studies in London.  Additional education led to a Television Direction and Production diploma from the BBC’s Television Training Academy.

Birgit spent her first year out of college working as an assistant beauty and teen fashion editor for the German Conde Nast publication “Miss Vogue”.  Her experience also includes work as a stylist for “Vogue”, “Vanity Fair”, and “Elle” as well as having been the Photo Editor for “Transpacific Magazine”.

In the U.S., Birgit has worked in film and television for more than a decade for Paramount, Sony, Disney and Universal Productions.  She has worked with directors William Friedkin, David Lynch and Ridley Scott. 

Birgit joined CBS’s “The Bold and the Beautiful” in 2001.   She quickly made an impression on the industry earning nominations for the Emmy award in the category of “Best Costume Design in Daytime TV” in 2001 and 2003.  In 2004,2005 and 2006 Birgit won the Emmy for this category.

Birgit has spoken as a guest lecturer at UCLA’s course “Creating Art in a Business Environment”.  She lectures on a regular basis to costume design students in film and television.

In the last few years, Birgit has begun manufacturing her own line of designer gowns.  “I am in a unique position as the costume designer for B&B since the show is based on the fashion industry.  I get to design as if I were two or three different designers, often competing against myself.  Few designers ever get such an opportunity.”

In 2004 Birgit joined forces with the City of Hope after a tragic health episode in her husband’s life.  “I love this organization.  Every person involved is a truly wonderful and compassionate soul.”

In 2005 Birgit was given the prestigious “Circle of Hope Award” for her leadership in helping raise money for cancer research. Her Fashion Show Gala on April 4, 2005 raised more than $ 800,000.

In 2006 Birgit founded her own organization “The Three Doves Foundation” to raise funds for mayor natural disasters, disease prevention and cure.
